The walls of Pasta Festivale’s warehouse in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida, are adorned with articles on & photos of the Master Chef, Don Paolo Natalucci. From extolling reviews in the New York Daily News, to photos with such celebrities as Marilyn Monroe & Joe DiMaggio, to letters of accolade from William Randolph Hearst & New York Times critic Craig Claiborne, Don Paolo Natalucci was a legend in his own time…the type that anyone who is anyone claimed to know, or wanted to know.

So, who was he?

The heir to a restauranting tradition on his native isle of Capri — off of the coast of Naples, Italy — Chef Natalucci went to sea, survived the sinking of the Andrea Doria, and moved on to Jamaica N.Y. where he married the cook at the Little Venice restaurant, Maria DelPozzo. From there, he went on to open his own restaurants in New York City (the aforementioned hip havens of the rich & famous — apocryphal legend has it that he once threw The Beatles out of his restaurant because, at the height of Beatlemania, the fans had over-run the dining room) — Alfredo’s and Tiberio’s — before opening up another restaurant in Naples, and a version of Alfredo’s in Lawrence, Long Island.

In the 1980’s, the Natalucci’s relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida, where the final Alfredo’s was opened on Lake Worth Road & Military Trail, in a lovely mansion that was converted to a restaurant.

In 1989, Natalucci retired…but not for long. In 1993, he joined forces with his son — Alfredo Natalucci — to create Pasta Festivale. Starting out as a manufacturer of homemade pastas for restaurants, Pasta Festivale has now become the state’s leader in wholesale & retail distribution of an incomparable variety of Italian foods, beverages, specialties, and other one-of-a-kind delicacies.

Don Paolo Natalucci passed away in 2009, but his spirit lives on in the spirit of Pasta Festivale: with our commitment to quality products and incomparable public service at unbeatable prices, Pasta Festivale is your one-stop shop for all of your wholesale needs!
